Work experience, volunteer and extracurricular activities help develop greater skills such as responsibility and values. My work experience in the past two years has been as a field worker, leaving me a lesson of how difficult it is to earn money. I have volunteer in events like the blood drive learning how to help others. Being a member of the associate student body and participating in the schools annual book have taught me how to be a more responsible person. --- I worked three weeks each summer since 2006. Finding how hard it is to harvest grapes for eight hours under the sun. I also felt weak because of the high temperatures, good thing my parents were always there to support me. With also being on your knees to reach the grapes and having to carry baskets full of grapes all day is exhausting. --- Working in the fields made me realized hoe hard it is to earn money. The money I earned was for my own benefit, but at the same time it helped my parents. Every year my parents ad to but clothes for me, but since I started working I bought my own apparel. I learned not to waist my money on unnecessary things. --- In this year’s blood drive I had the opportunity to volunteer helping people that donated blood. My job was to hold the donators hand during the process to give them support. Then walked them to their rest area, until they felt replenish. Even when I was not able to donate, I felt a relief because I was part of an organization that helps save lives. --- My role in the associate student body is of a treasure. I’m responsible for all the funds the senior class gathers; at events such as, car washes and concessions .I have to attend to this events, making sure all the money goes into the senior account. I am also part of the schools annual book. My role in this class is to gather pictures of student’s faculty and staff. --- Picking grapes was a hard experience that helped me value what my parents do for my family.
