Well in case you lose your job or other unplanned rental expenses during your lease. But wait there s more. Find a place you are interested in and go to the local electric company and get any information on bills, preferably the previous 12 months or the highest and lowest electric bill. Do the same with water if necessary. Take that number (lets say $200) and multiply it by 6 for $1200. Add $600 as an estimate for utility deposits. Include $2000 for an emergency rental fund (in case you need something like a lawyer to get your landlord s attention in the future - hopefully not). Thus $2400 + $4800 + $1200 (or what ever the electric bill average is or high bill times 6 if average is unavailable) + $500 + $2000 = $11,000 is a conservative starting estimate. Food is such a variable cost that only you could accurately estimate your expense on that item. Don t forget to budget fun. Don t forget to create a budget and NOT SPEND your savings money. Well this isn t exactly much of a question but I was wondering how people here view life. Maybe someone agrees with how i view it? Maybe im just at a certain point in life where I m feeling cynical and depressed but here goes. I think that life is pointless. I know that people always say quot;you have to find what you re interested in and make that your point in lifequot; but that s not how i see it. life is just advancing from point a to point b. you just try to survive and find ways to entertain yourself while doing so, with the occasional killing of a life; creating life and whatnot. Most humans go through a specific cycle that leads to a job/some sort of work that earns you money/anything that will keep you living. We start by going to school; learning how to survive. That ll lead to being able to work, leading to earning money/services, which leads to means of survival. It s all just a pointless cycle. basically what im trying to say is i dont like humans. I don t like that I am a human, and even more so that I dont like it that I m not trying to do anything to change myself. Humans, yea they create life, but so do other animals. We use up resources but don t give much back to the earth, unlike other animals. So why are humans on earth? We re wasting resources just so we can survive, which in the end, amounts to nothing. Take for example someone I know. They re striving for a career in the medical field because they want to save lives. If you look at it this way, they re going to school, learning to earn a degree, to be able to support a family, to earn a living. The helping people part is just the belief that they re not just doing this for their own sake. It s sort of uplifting that you have an additional objective that doesn t include you being rewarded. I guess it keeps people sane and not bitter to have an additional hobby or something that gives them joy that keeps them from realizing how morbid life really is. I m thinking that happiness is only an illusion. Pain exists, everyone experiences it one way or another, and the feeling of happiness is just a temporary cover. Once the object that triggers the happiness is taken away, people are lost and sad once again. Right now, with the whole quot;the world is endingquot; controversy going on, its making me realize that I won t care if I die with everyone in the world. But I can t bring myself to end my life solely. If I know that everyone will die along with me, I m fine with that. I guess that makes me selfish and horrible person. It makes me wonder why anyone wants to have children. Why make a whole new person that has to exist through all these difficult life stages and deal with all the problems of life and then eventually just die in the end? It almost seems like a cruel thing to create someone that didn t need to exist in the first place. The earth is drastically over-populated with humans so we don t quot;needquot; to make so many more like we, as a species, are doing. Don t they say that something like 50% of all Americans suffer from depression? If that s true, then why would anyone assume that their kids won t be just as depressed as they are? Why make someone that is going to have to suffer like that and then worry about dying and then eventually have to experience dying? HOWEVER, the notion that you mention about finding your own purpose in life is kind of true. Maybe it just doesn t seem true to you because you haven t found a major focus of interest yet. If you find something to do with your time that makes you happy... and you stop worrying so much about life being pointless... you can achieve a reasonable level of happiness for at least a decent amount of the time. Who knows, maybe your interest could be writing stories or writing songs that express your view of life. A lot of people love to read depressing stories or listen to depressing music. What to do when everyone is trying to bring me down? -

I constantly feel like sh*t nowadays. I m studying 4 subjects at A level, and I m heading for an A in one and a B in the other. The other two I m failing. Hi, everyone! I am at this stage where I doubt whether I do enough for my partner and all together. I have been with my partner for 5 years now and we have 2 little kids together and 2 from his previous relatinship. I moved in with him after knowing him for a year and 1/2. He is a lot older than me, I am 23. From the moment I wake up, I take care of our kids. I looked after my first one for 3 years , now I got my youngest one just under a year. I do some cooking, some light housework, whatever my partner wants me to do. You must know from your own experience. Get up, dress up your kids, feed one, then another, then wash up, potty, bath, then luch etc. Sometimes It is harder when 2 children are ill at the same time. They both need you at the same time - onew sick, another crying etc. I just find myself running around constantly from the moment I wake up till I go to sleep. Sometimes I don t have time to wash my face or go to the toilet when I need to. Its like what I am doing is not good enough, but at the same time, I don t stop working for one moment. I have not been out with my friends for 4 years. Its only the kids, that all it is. And I love being there for them. But my partner is in charge of everything and tells me what to do, etc. I stay at home with my kids at home a lot and he tells my if I can go to places and when it is best to go. The thing is, my partner still tells me I am selfish. If I want to see my friends, he tells me I should have my kids as priorities. I can t really go out much because I have to take kids with me, but he would not look after them if it is just going out and do things for myself. Ok, first of all, over vacation im taking one of those Red Cross Heimlich/CPR type certification courses so I can babysit safely. But after that, how can I go about getting clients to babysit? Would flyers work, or are they to cliche? Helpp?? My other question is are there any other jobs I can do in the winter to earn a little extra money? I would shovel snow, seeing as we just got a really big storm in new england, but I m kind of weak (lmaoo) and not that good with a snowshovel. Why have Americans become so stupid??? -

People have to earn money to pay extreme taxes, house payments, gasoline,food costs, ant our gover. wants autos to cut wadges. It was ok to include raises for judges and give bail money to the people that created these problems with out asking them to replace management. We need to take back our goverment from big money.|::::|Stupid or disenfranchised? There s a lot of us who were against all the bailouts (including the banks). I personally wrote to my representative and published my letter to him on his blog. But for a long time now, big money has disenfranchised the taxpayer. You are right, by the time a congressman gets elected, he has had to accept millions in campaign contributions. Much of it comes from corporations and consortiums. It would be naive indeed to think these business interests expect no return on their investment. These congressmen and women are bought and paid for before they ever set foot in any office. For democracy to work properly, that must end. But that does not make us stupid, that makes us disenfranchised. Propaganda makes us stupid, but that s entirely another matter. I m thinking it s every hour.|::::|No it is every five minutes no matter what but there has been problems known if you arent on xbox live playing and arent hooked up your time on you xbox resets if you unplug your xbox from the wall and the time gets set back since it goes from the time of your last save and if you go from the time the xbox thinks its at youve actually gone back in time.|::::|Well, it pays every five minutes, but it makes a difference whether or not you leave your game disconnected from a power source after you turn it off. The money amount that you make is also a factor, because if you make poor money, it will almost make no difference in the amount you already had before you turned it off. To do it again, just sign into xbox live (which will automatically correct your clock and date, and do it again. :p
