What is it like to be an Occupational Therapist? -

If a teenager has no property rights, who owns the things they buy? -

Somebody said in one of earlier questions that teenagers have no property rights. Well if they have a job and earned that money to buy something who owns it? Since they can t own the property someone has to own it?|::::|Your parents maintain rights of any property you have. The school can prohibit activities on school grounds. They can prohibit you from taking a car on their property, but they can not prohibit you from parking it somewhere else nearby.|::::|The parents own all your property, cause they house you , feed you, clothe, and you are legally responsible for your actions thus are responsible for your property, so they control/own it. The school is public property controlled by the school board, the school board is elected by the public to make decisions for them. So if the quot;publicquot; decides to pass a rule they can, within the property. They can say only busses (public vehicles) can enter public property.|::::|Whoever has custody of you (parents or legal guardians) own everything you buy until you turn 18. A school, under normal circumstances, cannot stop you from driving on public roads. However, they can refuse to give you a parking permit, which will effectively mean you cannot drive to school, unless you park off campus.|::::|The parents. They own the property and any money you make. Of course, they have a legal obligation to provide basic care, food, shelter, medical, and to see that you go to school. If you want to read the law on it, it s usually in whatever code your state places family law, often called Family Code or something similar. The school doesn t much care how you get there. They do, however, control the parking lot and can make rules like only seniors using it, that sort of thing.|::::|Your second question. A school can tell you that are not allowed to take the bus, or that you can t park on campus. For instance if you grades have dropped too low and your school has a rule against poeple on academic probation driving to school. Or on the bus you break the rules, your bus driver can then kick you off the bus. But they can t determine how you get there, only how you don t get there.

Is there a simple job I can do in my free time to earn a few money? -

How can a 12 yr old earn money. no babysitting, online surveys or lawn mowing!? -

Desperate to buy a dog|::::|This is alot to read but hopefully can help you: Do you feel that you want to earn money of your own because your parents either don’t understand or cannot afford the things that you want or need? You’re not alone. If you read the archives of current and resolved answers here, you’ll find your question is a popular one. The responses you read will range from solid great ideas to crazy scam web sites that prey on your need for cash or independence. Just remember that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. As a young person you have the time, energy and often the equipment needed to provide solutions for your customer’s wants, needs or problems. Since business is a win-win situation you need to trade the assets that you have for what your customers have … preferably cash. Besides reading the Answers archives, you may want to take a trip to your local library. There are a number of informative books for young people that can help to educate and motivate you. One title is “Fast Cash for Kids” by Bonnie amp; Noel Drew. My library collection has several others so I encourage you to talk to your Librarian about similar books. The books can help you take your business from the idea stage to actually starting and running a successful venture. Many of today’s huge corporations began at home and yours can too. Did you know that Ebay started out as a site for Pez Dispensers? Look what that small home business idea has become! Another resource for help is a national group called Junior Achievements. While I don’t have personal experience with them, I have heard great things about them helping teen entrepreneurs like you. Check out their website at www.ja.org. While strangers like myself can give you all kinds of ideas on what you can or should do, your parents or family or friends can help you find opportunities that are perfect for your skills, interests and experiences. What works for one person won’t work for another. Perhaps the most common answers that teens and tweens get to their job or business questions are babysitting, lemonade stands, mowing lawns, washing and vacuuming cars, and a few illegal ideas thrown in for fun. These things may or may not work for you. I would suggest getting a notebook or a few sheets of paper to list things that you like, are good at, and have the equipment for. This notebook can be the start of your business plan as your ideas and goals develop. Setting goals is very important because your cannot reach your goals if you have not set them. Make sure they are realistic goals. As a teen you may not be able to work for an employer but you can develop your own business selling products, providing services, or a combination of the two for even more income. You should look into the financial and legal aspects of business to keep more of your business revenue instead of paying expenses out of your own pocket. You can get tax credits for a business cell phone, car expense, computer costs, educational needs, business cards and much more. Consider hiring a professional accountant to help get the most from your business. You will be helping your parents as well as yourself. So… what can YOU do to earn money? Think outside of the box. You might consider the normal ideas recommended above or you may wish to branch into your own thing. Instead of babysitting, why not host puppet shows or story hours for younger kids. With groups of ten paying $3-5 per hour, you’ll make more than your parents. If you write a newsletter and earn $2 per copy a few hundred or thousand copies can earn you a pretty sweet monthly income. Have you thought about setting up computers or other electronic items for new buyers? You’ll do what you love and love what you do and get paid well. What about a recycling center for cans, bottles, newspapers, etc? Individuals and businesses should be easy to get on board for going green and you can sell green products as well. Another thought is to sell new or used items that fit into your industry. If you have a yard scaping service, sell lawn chemicals or garden ornaments. Think about a craft business … you can imprint t shirts or custom garden flags (learn about copyrights and royalties). You could sell returns and closeouts for local businesses. What about running a window washing or painting company? You could teach individually or group lessons on things you know well. What about tutoring in your favorite topics? Maybe a holiday gift shopping and wrapping service or even card mailing service could work for you. Think about local businesses as well as individuals. What about helping people get organized with their household paperwork??? Organizers make good money. You could print and sell bumper stickers or promotional gifts with custom photos like coffee mugs or magnets or flash drives. Why not imprint and sell specialty calendars? (Look into copyright and royalty rules) As you can see, there are a lot of things that YOU can do.|::::|well i m 14 and you are saving up for a dog you can ask your friends and family to save cans each can is worth 5 cents each i know that isn t alot but if you get alot of cans it will turn into alot of money save your change too that will add up too i saved all my change and i got over $50 that should get you the money for a dog|::::|have a garage sale or something..... or wait until christmas or hanukkah and request money.... or for your birthday.... have a party and hope your friends get you money...............=] good luck........... |::::|unfortunately you are not able to get a job until you are at least 15, due to the fact that you cannot work or drive|::::|you won t be rich, just earn extra cash. visit the link below. |::::|well i helped out the school by selling stuff, and i got BIG BUCKS. Actors $ Vs. Normal - Unfair or fair? -

I m just curious to know what you guys think. Celebrities earn more money, lots of money, for doing a movie--say a good movie. Probably the amount your daddy could get in three-four years or more. Why do the directors throw such a big amount of money to them? Acting only contains of looking good and being able to change your expression at the right words according to a script. Some other people who earn like 100,000$ a year have to do much harder things and yet, they STILL get paid less! They wouldn t reach a million until another ten years! So producers and directors pay alot of money for their films to be good, and if it is good, the movies grosses alot of money which goes back to them and the rest of the workers. It takes three-four months depending to make a movie, so basically actors get one million in such short time? The whole thing pisses me off because there are LOTS of other people who look good like them and work HARDER and yet...these actors who just have to stand before a camera while they let their little agent do their work still get paid more! I dont get it......:/ unfair or fair?explaain!|::::|Being an actor isn t always a piece of pie. There s the pressure of being a star (which isn t always TOO bad) and you have to have the talent. I know I can t act to save my life! Plus, movies make MILLIONS of dollars, so producers tend to pay more. Like Tom Cruise making $20 million per film. I do agree that some, if not most, actors are overpaid and are famewhores, such as Miley Cyrus for instance.|::::|I herd that Simon Cowell makes like 20 grand every minutes he is on American Idol....... I also have another question: What color high heels should I wear with it? I have black peep-toe heels, gold heels, and silver heels. MISLEADING STATISTICS: Please tell mw why do you believe that the following are misleading statistics? -

1. Mrs.Tizon grades her students based on the average of their test scores. A student must have an average of 90 for an A and 80 for a B. Carla’s test scores are 87,33,72,84,90,87 and 93. Mrs. Tizon gave her a C. How might Carla convince Mrs.Tizon that she deserved a higher grade? 2. Lloyd saw this poster on an electric post who says: “Sell magazines! EARN MONEY in your spare time! Averege 1,500 pesos per week on commision. For information, call 805-12-60.” a.)What does it mean to work on commision? What do you think is the reason why it could be misleading? b.)Why do you think earning 1,500 pesos per week is misleading statistic? |::::|1. Mrs. Tizaon gave her student the right grade, but it is a high C. The 33 brought her students grade down. If it was otherwise her grade might be higher. It can be misleading because the teacher can grade on whatever she wants to base it on. If she wants to curve the grade it can bring Carlas overall grade up. Carla can convince her by saying most of her test scores are above average and that one grade is lowering her score. 2. To work on commision is if you sell u make money, if u dont sell then no pay. Its misleading bc 1500 isnt much in the states. It is just advertising the average score, you can start very low and eventually get to 1500 pesos per week.

Why doesnt the Mormon (LDS) Church release financial records? -

The Mormon Church has not released financial records to the public since 1959. Why is this? The Catholic Church releases it s financial records, at least on some levels, I don t know that the Vatican releases financial records! It just seems suspicious that the LDS Church would not want anyone, especially it s members, to know how their hard earned money is being spent. I understand that the LDS Church has a great welfare system, providing food and other services to those members in need, but this comes from Fast Offering, which is the money you would have spent on 2 meals, and is only collected once a month. That s what, $10 a person at most? Far less than the huge amount of tithing that is collected. They say tithing goes toward building funds and maintenance for buildings, but I doubt it takes the entire tithing of 13 million members to build a few temples and meeting houses every year and keep them going! I would think that members would want to know how their money is being spent. I know there is the idea that you should be faithful that those in charge are inspired by God and do what s best, but I don t think there s anything wrong with a little accountability either!|::::|quot;the Catholic Church relesaes it s financial records, at least on some levelsquot; Hypocrite. I know where my tithing money goes. I see it when I see the budget for the Young Women, I see it when a new temple is built, I see it when a young man from our ward is supported on his mission, I see it when a new chapel is built, I see it when a new convert is given a very nice brand new set of scriptures. Are you putting money into the LDS church? No? Then why do you care? EDIT: Furthermore, your church HAS TO release certain records because you have a paid clergy. If the Catholic church didn t have to disclose the small amount they did I doubt they would disclose anything. We don t have paid clergy and therefore don t have to disclose. It doesn t bother the members.|::::|I am Mormon and give of my tithes and offerings freely. I don t quot;need to knowquot; how the funds aer spent, as I have trust and faith that the Lord s servants will use it wisely for the building up of the kingdom of God. Life requires us to live by faith. It is commonly known that tithing funds go to support the costs of building and maintaining the thousands of chapels, temples, and church buildings across the world. Those things require funds to operate.|::::|We know exactly where our money is going. It is going to feed the hungry and help the poor. When we pay tithing we believe we receive blessings from our Heavenly Father. We do not second guess our leaders, because we have faith-We believe in them. The Church owns 400 welfare farms and 220 canneries/welfare storehouses to care for the poor. Members volunteer their time to staff these facilities. In 2003, over half a million man-hours were donated. One Church farm in Florida, the world s largest beef ranch, is over 312,000 acres. The Church also has an extensive program to help the unemployed. In 2003, Church employment centers helped 85,000 people in the United States and Canada find employment. About the same number of jobs were found for members of the Church in foreign countries. LDS Family Services, a Church organization, has 64 offices to provide adoption, foster care, and counseling services. 46 Church-operated thrift stores function in part to provide employment for the disadvantaged/disabled. The LDS Church has sponsored Boy Scout troops since 1913. About 23% of all Scout troops in the U.S. are LDS-sponsored. The Church has sent relief to victims of over 150 disasters since 1986 alone. Aid is provided regardless of any consideration, including religion, ethnicity, and nationality, and is valued in the tens of millions of dollars annually. In the last 20 years, 200 million pounds of food, clothing, and medicine were donated in 147 countries, almost all to members of other faiths. Aid is often made to countries where Mormon missionaries are banned by law. The LDS Church is able to send relief quickly because there is no need to wait for donations or purchase supplies. Church members donate regularly, and supplies are stored at Salt Lake and elsewhere, ready for distribution. The LDS Church also works with and donates extensively to other, non-LDS charities. While the Church s specific humanitarian programs are too numerous to list here, here are a few highlights: * In 2001 the Church established what it calls the “Perpetual Education Fund.” Low-rate college loans are made to impoverished students in the developing world, students that could not otherwise obtain a good education. Over 10,000 loans have been made to date, and the project is expanding. * The Church played an important role in the 2004 Asian-tsunami relief efforts. After working to address the population s immediate needs, the Church began working towards long-term progress, including livelihood restoration, health-care improvement (including operating-room construction, medical-equipment supply, and trauma counseling), and the reconstruction of community buildings (including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques). In all, millions of dollars have been invested in this type of long-term aid. * The Church has an extensive vision program in the developing world, where local health-care professionals are provided with the necessary training and equipment to treat vision problems. Under this program, 20,000 individuals have received eye treatment at a cost of one million dollars. * Because world-wide only one percent of all who need wheelchairs have access to one, the Church has distributed over 100,000 chairs to the disabled in developing nations at a cost of $6.8 million. * The Church has helped 1.8 million people in over 1,000 communities gain access to clean water at an average cost of only $2.50 per person. This service has included digging wells, providing water storage and delivery systems, and installing water purification systems. Mostly local labor was used, and local community leaders were trained in how to maintain the new facilities. * At a cost of $3.5 million, the Church has sent doctors to developing nations to train local health-care professionals in neonatal resuscitation. Neonatal deaths due to breathing problems cost one million infant lives a year. * Working with international partners (the American Red Cross, the United Nations Foundation, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, United Nations Children’s Fund, World Health Organization, and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies), the Church donated $3 million to work towards providing measles vaccinations for 200 million children in 40 African countries. * Church members donated 10,000 days of labor to assist Hurricane Katrina victims. * The Church offers small-business loans to the impoverished in developing countries. * So what s a typical year like? Take 2004...“In 2004, the Church provided $31.1 million (USD) in cash and materials in response to the hurricanes in Florida and the Caribbean, tsunamis in South Asia, war in Iraq, flooding in Colombia, and 110 other disasters.” The Church has over 5,000 service missionaries (another site said 3,000) who work without pay to aid the poor.|::::|LDS- LSD! Hands On Approach or Uni? -

I have started Uni for the 1st year now, I like it and all that but I prefer hands on work and I know I do, I took the six form approach to go to uni and get a degree knowing fair well that I was getting sick of class room learning, but I made my self do it cause in the end jobs seem to be better if u have a degree under your belt. its not that I don’t like uni, its just I know I learn best when am doing not being lectured too, and doing a assignment every week. I like to learn by experience, working out side with my hands and all that, am just afraid am going to force my self to do uni, get a degree then turn out hating what am doing for the rest of my life. I always used to think if I had a degree under my belt, after I could go off and do what ever I like, and still have something to fall back on, but at the end of the day I would have a degree and debt and have wasted 4 years when I could of been earning money doing something hands on... am just not sure, I don’t know if its right to force my self to do it, or whether to quit and try and get a job, but what jobs are for A level students who have dropped out of uni? Really I want to start earning money now, and supporting my self, I just don’t know how to go about it because am stuck on this path. And at 19 I think my options are starting to run out for a good hands on job with a future, when am already at uni now. |::::|What degree are you doing now? Why not change to something like Archaeology that will give you hands on experience and encourage you to complete your degree?

How to make money on computer at home being an computer engineer ? -

hi I m studying b tech 3rd year, i neglected my studies and my percentage is low that i cant attend placements. so i decided to do something and earn money on my computer while attending college. please tell me how to start?|::::|start by networking with others in your field, ask them if you can do side work for them at home etc. IF YOU DONT ASK, YOU WONT KNOW!!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me what is work-study? -

does it mean that you take a job on-campus as a way to pay for your college tuition and does it only apply to students who need financial aid? I wanted to get a job on-campus to earn some money, but I don t require financial aid, and the money I earn from the job isn t really for tuition.|::::|Work study programs are typically for students who require help with tuition. However the term can also apply to fields of study where the student is actually placed in a work environment of his/her choice to study the occupation of people in his chosen field and gain experience in that field.

I want to live in France after Iamp;#39;m done with college. How do people do it? Or where do they start? ? -

Does it matter where you attend law school? -

If I want to be a successful lawyer, meaning earning a lot of money, do I need to Harvard Degree? I live in New Jersey and plan on attending a local Community College, Transferring to Rutgers-NB and applying to both rutgers law campuses. My uncle has a degree from there and he is not in a lucrative position at ALL and he still does very well. Is there some type of a trade off here, because I doubt I would graduate at the top of my law class. Or do I just need to work hard?|::::|It does matter, to an extent. If you go to Rutgers, I can t imagine you having too much trouble. The real issue is going to be the local job market. If it s flooded with Harvard grads, you may have some stiff competition for a job. I m currently at the University of Memphis. In Tennessee, it s degrees are very competitive with degrees from other Tennessee schools. Outside of Tennessee, however, we simply don t have the prestige to get into the big New York, etc., firms. As a general rule, if you want a big job in a big city, go to a local school with a local reputation, or go to Harvard, Yale, etc. Otherwise, you should be okay with any degree. And you re right, there is some kind of trade off. If you finish at the bottom of your class at a great school, you probably can t compete with a top graduate from a slightly less reputable school.|::::|No it does not matter. You just have to work hard.|::::|I went to a local CC and transferred to Rutgers - NB myself. It appears that the further west you go, the better reputation Rutgers has. If you can ace the LSATs and do well as an undergrad, you may be in a better position to pick amp; choose your law school. That said, there s nothing wrong with Rutgers law schools. I would pick the Newark campus given the choice, but then I didn t go to Rutgers for law school. Although I was at the top of my class, I didn t ace the LSATs. I went to law school in MN and got an excellent legal education. You can be successful at law no matter where you go to school. You absolutely have to work your butt off. When I went, my education became my sole focus and I was anal about my studying. Just remember that once you re in law school, look for summer clerk positions with good named law firms. Many, in fact most, of the bigger firms hire first year associates from their former summer clerks. Good Luck.

Where is the strong Republican voice today? -

The American people want to hear a strong republican stand up for our values. Are they all destroyed by the news media before they can get established or it is that they don t exist anymore? We really need to do some things to get our economy going like lowering the taxes on businesses and I really liked allowing people to keep the money they earned without being taxed for two months.|::::|The Republican voice is TALK RADIO. I m not saying we would have WON the election - (because people of color - and people looking for a hand-out - would have voted OBAMA anyway)... but had we ran a GOOD CANDIDATE with GOOD REPUBLICAN VALUES... every REPUBLICAN would have voted. True Republicans were not energized by HO-HUM - CENTRIST - Get along with the other side... McCain... Didn t vote for someone they were LUKE WARM about. To hear the STRONG REPUBLICAN VOICE...listen to Sean Hannety.|::::|quot;I really liked allowing people to keep the money they earned without being taxed for two months.quot; Without direct taxation, the government has no choice but to borrow from the Federal Reserve to cover the appropriations, all of which is brand new money, and because the supply of money is increasing irrespective to the amount of goods and services in the economy, the value of your money will decrease, so even though it seems like you get to keep your money, you don t, because inflation is a form of tax. None of this makes any difference at all, because the Federal Reserve has created 7 trillion dollars of brand new money which they are using to quot;fixquot; the economy, so at this stage what s the point of having money at all, I d rather get paid in peanuts.|::::|There is no strong Republican voice . . the right wing talk shows and Fox entertainment news have polarized and narrowed the party so much that there is now no one left that has a wide appeal. They have dug themselves into a box of intolerant hatred. I recall a few years ago a moderate Republican who is now a US Senator and one of the most decent people I ve ever met .. but she was telling us that the Republican party had been taken over by the far right conservatives, that the platform they were following would not appeal to the majority of voters, and she predicted that this would happen to her party. She was right. Unfortunately it may only get worse . . which will be good for the Democratic party as the moderate Republicans will jump a sinking ship.|::::|Well it is Sunday morning. Where do you think Republicans chould be on a Sunday morning? :) Republicans need a plan to go forward, more then that they need to decide who they are. Are they going to keep the religious right in the leadership or the fiscal hawks? The two don t seem to mix well or like the other much. How will they make the GOP the big tent party again? What will become of the far-right racist crazies that dominate the party right now? How will they tone them down without being seen as weak? There is a lot of work to be done and the leadership seem to think it is the 90s and they can stay the same. 06 and 08 loses haven t seemed to teach them much so far. Look at what stanleys_2001 says, this is part of the problem. The AM talkers are all hype no substance, mostly slander and no facts aren t going to win elections at the state or federal level. Sorry it just won t happen.|::::|I m a conservative first, Republican second and speaking only for myself, I have taken the attitude of wait and see. Obama hasn t done anything yet, he s not in office until next month and so far he has been trying to hold on tight to the middle of the road. Soon he will tip his hand I am sure and reveal his true agenda. When most thinking and hardworking people have figured out he is nothing more or less than any other typical politician that will say or do anything to get elected, that is when people will realize they cannot simply sit back and do nothing while he serves his term. Hopefully, the Republican party will learn from its mistakes, regroup and come back strong. If they want to continue to be liberals and merely masquerade as Republicans, they can bid bye bye to ever being in power again.|::::|The strong Republican voices are calling themselves Independents these days. The Extreme Right hijacked the GOP, back in 99 and it doesn t look like Conservatives have a chance, or the inclination of taking it back. What s left is a bunch of closet queens with third grade worldviews. Reagan s Big Tent has become Bush s Big Closet. Their one asset is millions of voters who simply can t stand Democrats. And that will evaporate as soon as a real Conservative Party emerges. And why would lowering taxes on Businesses improve the Economy? Every time we ve done it before, we lost millions of good paying jobs. Or have you not been paying attention for the past 8 years?|::::|The Republicans are re-grouping. Its against the nature of the USA for any one party to be correct in all things. Its the check and balance built into our country by our fore fathers. You witnessed the outpouring of support for Palin, but the dead weight of McCain cost the Republicans the election. McCain was to liberal and crossed the party lines far to often. Obama never once crossed over the isle or even voted very often on substance. just voted present more than anything else so he could not be held accountable. A lesson Republicans need to learn. If Obama succeeds in half of what he wants, he will not be re elected in 4 years. A moron liberal independent will have a better chance than Obama.|::::|It s a wrap!! Until they do some serious reconstruction to the party they have no voice. No matter if Obama screws up worse than Bush did as most are hoping; it still won t be enough to get liberals to switch sides. The Republican party is well on their way to becoming a memory.|::::|Republicans have vanished- replaced by imperialist, corporatist, neocons. Ideas on how to get my money back? -

so my stepmom opened a custodial savings account with me when i was younger, and we never had the best relationship.now that i am 18 they say the only way to close it is with her permission.but she already stated she won t let me close it.my account has 4000 in it,all the money i earned at my job.i plan on using that along with my enlistment bonus from the military to enroll in college.how can i go about closing this account?she already threatened she won t close it,and i knew i probably won t ever see that money..thats why i had stopped putting money in there for over a year.my dads name isn t on the account,so he can t close it,and nor can i ask him to make her close it because she blows the poor me act,and my dad will feel sorry for her.|::::|Having someone else pose as your step-mom is fraud and you will be charged if caught. What kind of Doctor should I be? -

Hi! I am a high-school senior who id going to college next fall. My parents want me to be a doctor because of the job safety, good pay and opportunity to help out the people. I also want to go to that profession. But I heard that in order to be a doctor one needs to --- be in College for 10+ years. Ok I can take it. But after being a doctor a doctor has to pay his a big amount of malfunction insurance (about $60000- $100000+). After paying that, college loans, residency loans, car payments and home mortgage) I don t think a doctor will have a good amount a money left to spent for him and his family. I also heard that certain type of doctors who aren t specialist like (adult medicine or Family practitioner I think) don t have to pay high amount of insurance, have less stress and still can keep a lot of money for his family after paying all his debts and insurance and still gets to help out ppl around him. I want to know what type of doctor should I be?? I don t wanna wake up everyday at the middle of night (like some specialists-- ob/gyn specialists, surgeons, neuro-surgeons), I also want to pay less insurance, less stress, earn good money, have some time with my Family. So based on all these things can anyone suggest me what type of physician should I be? All types of suggestions are appreciated.|::::|You ll be in a better position to make this decision in year 3 of med school.|::::|Please understand that lots of docs now join a practice and don t hang out their own shingle. And as well, never any more see patients in hospital... they have now what is called hospitalists... docs who care for patients. I can only tell you that the insurance is huge, and the stress of any field of medicine is very high. Several fields of medicine aren t too stressful... radiology, and pathology, where you really never have to deal with real people and real problems. You interpret the radiographs, and tell their physician, or you do slide of tissue, and tell the surgeon what you found....) After college you have 4 years of med school, the internships and residencies, where those places work the socks off of you. No doc ever has short hours. In the future medicine will pay much less than it does now.... since stem cell research will make many specialists pay far less. (Ex not too many years ago orthopedists could easily make $400,000 per year, and overhead wasn t too bad. Now insurance eats it up, and research will soon find a way to grow new cartilage so that hip and knee replacements won t even be a procedure. You will only like medicine if you are compassionate, like to help people, and enjoy solving puzzles... (What s behind door number three) {this means you grab a chart, walk in to see your patient, and try to figure out in 12 minutes what the problem is, and correctly prescribe a medication. When you screw up, you get sued.} If you wish to just make a lot of money, run a big company... the head honcho of GM makes 9 million, and between 9 top guys on the boards of GM and Ford??? something like 21 million dollars... obscene.|::::|u should be the doctor that fits u money can be fix your future what i want 2 be cost money but i m going 2 earn it the hard way. don t worry about the cost be what u want|::::|My best suggestion is to just not worry about it. If you re 100% sure you want to be a doctor, then go for it. You don t decide what kind of doctor you will be until you go to med school. I m a sophomore pre-med student in college and have no idea what kind of doctor i want to be. I just know i want to be a doctor. When you get into medschool, then you can start worrying about it. Hope this helped!

hi, i m 15 years old and i m looking for any local basketball games that i could table official. Although i havent been officially certificated as a level 2 table official, i can complete a match book with the level two qualities (circles around player who shot a 3-pointer, minutes, minutes and shooting apostrophe in player foul box, etc.) i ve table officiated using the level 2 way for many matches, school matches, county matches and school national matches. Making money with Google Adwords? -

If I invest $15 every month in Google adwords then how much can I expect to earn? |::::|Instead of trying to figure out how much you will earn why not learn what google adwords all about first. How to get it work. Adwords are heaven for some people who have already mastered the way to capitalize it. Most of them use high tech software to handle their campaign. They will try to dominate as much as they can. So if you have very little knowledge you will going to lose the battle.|::::|it totally depends on: how good your AdWords account is setup - this could be split into hundreds of points how well it is monitored what you do when certain things happen (you have many impressions, or a high cost per click (CPC), etc) what business you re in what your website is like what your prices and other unique selling points (USPs) are what you re offering (free trial, etc) There is really a long list here. If i was you i d go to a specialist AdWords company and ask for their advice. Like me, they would definately say you need more to play with than that. I would say a minimum is $5 a day. It depends what you re doing - if you re starting a business you need to invest a little, if you re still doing research on starting something, then use this: https://adwords.google.com/select/Keywor... It will tell you who s searching what, and there are drop down lists where you can choose to see the estimated cost per click, and the ad position. Then once you re satisfied that your business has a big enough market, invest a little. I ve been managing AdWords accounts full time for over 2 years and have seen £50 turn into £2,500, and i ve also seen it turn into a couple of phone calls. The success or failure of AdWords, hence the amount you ll make or won t make it very dependant on the above list. So, 1. use the keyword tool, 2. spend time to get quotes and a feel for which AdWords optimisation has enough experience and is really going to care enough to put the effort in, 3. spend more than $15 a month, like I said, I would try $5 a day. Don t go with a company that won t give you access to your AdWords account by the way, or one that says, 3 month min. contract or something. Then, if you re not satisfied with the results you can just turn it off immediately. |::::|Depends on what you are advertising, you can earn nothing. Good ways to earn money for charity ? -

well i want to earn some money to donate to a local Animal shelter but i don t know what i should do it is the beginning of winter and i need some ideas i want to make in the hundreds or thousands i can play the flute and cello i am pretty good at cooking and here is the catch i am only 11 years old so please help. thanks god bless|::::|I think it will be hard for an 11 year old to earn much money for charity this time of year. Let me give you the only idea that I know for a fact has worked. Last year, several children put together a Hot Chocolate Stand to raise money for the families of 2 Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty. I know that they raised thousands of dollars. They got great publicity by letting the TV news and radio stations know about it. The other option would be to work through your parents to help the shelter. If the shelter itself has fund raising events, see if you can help them by putting up flyers in local businesses. Your parents would have to escort you while you do it, but you could be a great help. Since I m on the subject, the best place to put up flyers is at gas stations. Most are locally owned, and everyone has to go there eventually. If you can wait a few months, lemonade stands and bake sales are always a hit. See what you can do about getting the supermarket to let you set up a table outside the doors. Like gas stations, everyone has to go there. It s a great thing to help animals. I hope you do well in your endeavor. Good luck. Paul|::::|bikini car wash

Q.2) why they have destroyed that shoe which quot;MAKE HISTORYquot;? http://www.dawn.com/2008/12/19/top15.htm chose one option for your answer : I). to stop the quot;shoe culturequot; from politics II). Bcoz of Osama s fear that he wd announce high bet for the shoe to throw him correctly in the face III) Number of shoe was not 9 or 11 so they could nt connect it with 9/11 accident. Q.3) Vedio games about this shoe has been launched In USA (running successfully) amp; Americans are earning money bc of this shoe, ONE ARAB OFFERED 50 MILLIONS FOR THE SHOE. If this shoe wd sale then this money would give some help to USA s weak economy, Should Bush visit every week one islamic country to get a shoe for bet ? in 58 weeks he could get 58 shoes ..should he go daily or weekly? 58 shoe X 50 million = America does nt need to ask Arab countries for help for economy bc bush could do it alone if he does then american would stop him to leave White House. what do u say?|::::|Wa Alaykom Alsalam. First of all let me say that while Mr. Zaidi did not represent his anger in a quot;politequot; manner, he had every right to do what he did. Not only on behalf of himself; but on behalf of all the people around the world (Muslims and Non-Muslims) who see George Bush as the war criminal he truly is. He is no better than his father. 1)I have great respect for what the people are doing in Pakistan and especially Washington. It shows that not only Muslims support Mr. Zaidi s actions; but Bush s own people, the Americans as well. And good for them! They have opened their eyes to the many crimes Bush s party has caused. Bush, Cheney, and Rice all have blood on their hands. Iraqi, Palestinian, and Afghanistani blood. In my opinion, these three should be tried for war crimes. 2) I suppose I will choose option II. LOL. That would be quite funny to see. 3)Yes, I believe Bush should do a quot;A Shoe-In Tourquot;. He could visit different countries, and have all the families who lost loved ones throw one shoe (of their choice) each at his face. EXCEPT, this time he has to stay still and not duck. I still can t believe the b@stard s quick reaction to the incident. I like your equation, it seems quite achievable. Sadly, Arab Leaders do not have even an ounce of self-respect anymore. They would rather help a foreigner, than help one of their own brothers. And one last thing, for all of those saying you don t condone quot;shoe-throwingquot;....I respect that. Really I do. However, how long must one keep silent as he watches his family suffer before his eyes? What about his country and all it s rich culture destroyed? What about his mother and sister raped by soldiers who quot;are there to liberate a nationquot;? Well, not very long. It was time someone did something. Mr. Zaidi sent a message, and it was well received. Insha Allah Khair for the reporter and his case.|::::|There is no way Americans would stop dubya from leaving the white house. How can I earn $60 in less than a month? -

This is like one of those situations where if you don t get what you need, you think you re gonna die. Kidding, it s one of those situations where you really need something, but you don t know how to get it. Anyhow, I need to earn $60 by January 7th! I can t get a job, I don t have a social insurance number yet (not a Canadian citizen), I can t do work for neighbors, I live in a city building. I cant borrow it because then I ll go into more dept. I m only 15 years old, there is nobody I know that will willingly give me $60. Sexless marriage...but donamp;#39;t talk about it...or else.? -

My husband and I are intimate maybe 4-6 times this past year. He is diabetic and has some ED issues. I try to talk to him, but he just gets frustrated with himself. Just last night I tried to give him a hint that I was in the mood....ok it s been about 4 months now...so yeah, I m ready. Anyways, he got all mad and told me to go F someone else becuase he can t do it for me. I replied and said that I would be happy if he did other things too, that it didn t have to be just his you know what. He says that he doesn t have the chemical rushing through his body that gets him quot;in the mood.quot; So he can t just make love to me whenever I want to. There has to be something we can do. The viagra and all the pills and testosterone gels don t work for him. He just tells me that we don t need to talk about it, becuase it is what it is. I disagree, there has to be something out there we can do or try. I just turned 30 and he is 32. I don t understand why he can t do other things to me....or if he is just choosing not to and using the chemical thing as an excuse. If I were to buy a toy....it would just make him more insecure. I just want that emotional connection that we used to have when we would fool around. We are at each other s throats constantly...I think because there is sooo much sexual tension. I m depressed and feeling helpless. How can I get him to want to feel like making love? I m attractive , I earn the money for us right now, I am just so ....and it s right before the holidays...help.|::::|Let s look at this from your husband s point of view. He probably is feeling insecure since he has ED and diabetes and to top it off, you re the bread winner of the family. You need to create the mood by going out for a romantic dinner, movie or some other date like activity. Let him know about the date in advance so he can plan ahead. Perhaps things will happen in a more relaxed setting. At 32 years old, your husband definitely has some sort of problem if he has no desire. Often times this can diagnosed and treated. Encourage your husband to go to his primary care physician to have an open conversation about what s been going on. You both need to go to marriage counseling as well. That may help you get that emotional connection back in to your lives. If your husband won t go, then start counseling on your own. You need someone to talk to. You must act now..your marriage depends on it. Good luck.|::::|That sucks. Exercise helps with diabetes, with ED, and with depression. you may not be able to do anything about this before Christmas, but starting in the new year, start taking a 30-60 minute brisk walk with your husband every evening. After about 3-4 weeks both of you will have lost a little weight, he might be able to cut back on his diabetes medicine, and ...other things will start working better. This does not require any money - just a pair of shoes and some determination. Good luck.

Whats a easy way to earn money? -

my laptop broke, and im trying to save up to buy a new one. i don t have a job, so im trying to think of easy ways to get money. besides doing surveys online, what could i do? ive been looking for a job for 6 months, and nothing. so something other than a job. please let me know.|::::|Many people say ebay- but with ebay you need money to make money. Try this out(link is below-goes to my blog) it won t make you a millionaire but you ll earn extra cash!|::::|I think you should have a look around your home for stuff you don t need, and then sell it in the local newspaper classifieds. Things like your bed base, your coffee table, and other items that aren t essential. That would generate some money, which might be enough to get a new laptop. Can you get a boarder or renter in to your house to split expenses? Splitting your expenses could free up more money. If you re not working, then your priority is to get a job. You need to treat jobseeking like full time work. If you need to use a computer, try a library or a jobseeking centre in your area. They often have computers for public use. Tailor your resume and cover letters to each job you apply for. Make it a rule to apply for at least ten jobs a week. Write letters to employers that aren t currently advertising for workers, just in case. It will show you are motivated. I know you ve been jobseeking for six months. It s hard to find a job. But you need to stick at it. Get a job, and that will fix your problem. Try food retail and cleaning. Just write applications to the businesses in your area, regardless of whether they are advertising for positions, and you might get lucky. Best wishes|::::|get a job.

Everything seems empty and pointless. *discussion thread*? -

We seem to just be here… we’ve evolved over 4.2 million years and developed a sense of consciousness have advanced culturally. Now, to me, we are simply animals that are too far evolved and just interfere with our ecosystems and set up all these false values and ideals that really make no sense. This life just doesn’t appeal to me. Look at how we live. Situated in small, isolated nuclear families as opposed to our ancestors who lived in groups of at least 25 and hunted or just spent time communicating with each other, in whatever form. Now we need to grow up to earn money to be respectable. Wealth is in the hands of a few who usurp the world and create mass poverty in the majority of the third world. With consciousness we’ve acquired emotions such as attachment, which lead to greed, anger and delusion. Is this normal? Everything just seems so meaningless to me, why bother even going on? I used to think the reason to live was to help other people or find love. But then I’ve realised, we all just create reasons for existence to be meaningful. Religion is the worst[or best] at this. How easy would it be to just accept a religion, say Christianity, and believe in it? There you go, instant meaningfulness and a community who share your views. Look a little deeper though, it’s exactly that, a group of people accepting blind meaning to fulfil their wants to explain the unknown. Those who believe in the ideals such as those of having wealth, a good job and other commodities are just in an eternal meaningless cycle, but due to believing in it they are happy and fulfilled. Because of this, it is sometimes hard to know that everything is meaningless because I can’t confide in these easy solutions for life’s purpose. I have everything. A home, clothes, luxuries. I should be happy but I’m trapped. Some days I just sit for hours trying to figure all this out. For now, only my family matters to me, but everything else seems pointless. Everything is impermanent and always changing. Even unconditional love fades. Lifes taught me many lessons so far, but what are they for? Ultimately I just see everything as utterly pointless. Now don’t tell me to just live in the moment and have fun because I can’t do that. I can’t be blind and ignore my mind. If anyone would like to add to my argument or counter it with your own views feel free.|::::|Well said; I believe I am here because my parents couldn t resist their urges in a certain day and time, I share your nihilistic view however I keep going because of my primal instinct of survival.|::::|You sound depressed. Depression is not necessarily sadness, but an absence of joy or absence of meaning. I d recommend seeing a counselor so you can reconnect with the joy in your life. It s there, as is meaning, but it s hidden behind the mask of depression.|::::|You are absolutely correct that there is no meaning at all to anything. But you haven t taken the final step. Whenyou belittle the idea of quot;live in the momentquot; b/c u cant ignore your mind, you are missing it. If nothing matters, then all forms of dealing with existence are valid. Paris Hilton s life of vapid emptiness is no less valid than mother theresa s. When u truly understand that, you will be free.|::::|Actually, I have had these very thoughts with some slight variations. I know you can t just live in the moment and have fun, people say that like it is just a snap of your fingers and bam you can start having fun. but its not that easy. My family is all that matters to me as well. Without them, especially my husband and my best friend (who I consider my sister) I would be lost. they are the only ones who understand me, when I get down about what feels like hopelessness. not everyone is happy because they have wealth, or a high paying job. Maybe they do, but I know some of them are lost like us, or lost in their own greediness. Some of them have never known true happiness so they are happy because they don t know what they are missing. I do believe in God for many reasons, but I studied astronomy recently, and it amazed me. and while in astronomy they teach the big bang theory to death, there are flaws in that theory. but when i look at galaxies that are so far away they look like stars, and study the complexities I can t belive that something so perfect came by chance from nothing, anymore than I would believe a tree came from nothing, or a table just created itself. Without belief though life is meaningless. that is a fact. without a belief in something nothing we do matters, and when we die nothing happens. some people I do believe have been scared into beliefs because of such thoughts. which is unfortunate. I am not saying you have to believe in god or some form of a god, but you should find out whats missing in your life and for the lessons you ve learned you learned your lessons because as humans we grow, we learn we observe. you are smarter than most people in the fact, that instead of just following blindly you saw that something didn t make sense, and now you are logically trying to find an answer to why it doesn t make sense. You may never find the answer, but be glad you are not a mindless sheep who follows blindly. the link below is similar to the picture that was in my textbook. they are galaxies, billions of lightyears away. I am a strange sort of christian, I wonder sometimes, whether god created others races out there in the vast universe. anyways try looking into astronomy a little, its more complicated and interesting than you might think.|::::|Your view is interesting - no wonder you are depressed. However you confuse facts and opinions. quot;We seem to just be here…quot; Yes we are just here, however why the value judgement just the fact is we ARE here. quot;we’ve evolved over 4.2 million years and developed a sense of consciousness have advanced culturally.quot; I find that awesome, so awesome. Nothing planed us - nothing designed us - we evolved to be so amazing. quot; Now, to me, we are simply animals that are too far evolvedquot; How can we have evolved too far. We have just evolved to fit. quot;and just interfere with our ecosystems and set up all these false values and ideals that really make no sense.quot; I do have sympathy with your feelings here. However NOW is the time to change, to become more at one with each other and the ecosystem. How can we do this? By the very skills and powers then developed the problems in the first place.|::::|You ve been given an opportunity whether you were put here by a deity or evolved. You re incredibly lucky to even exist, the odds of you being here according to either viewpoint are so incredibly low it is safe to say you will never exist again. This life is your one choice at being a sentient being. With intelligence comes amazing achievements and discovery but it also makes us ask some tough questions. It is no co-incidence that there is a connection between depression and intelligence. Religion gives people who can t handle the thought of not existing a crutch so they don t kill themselves, the people that do face up to the facts have to be strong. But in a way you do live forever. The genes, values and ideas that you spread during your life are passed on from generation to generation. The quot;pointquot; is to better yourself and humanity so that one day, just maybe, we ll be able to answer that question. If you re worried about being remembered in future come up with an hypothesis and prove it, maybe in anthropology as it seems to interest you. Many of the worlds greatest discoveries came from quot;backyard scientistsquot; working away at something in their spare time. Few people have the lasting impact that great scientists and thinkers do. If you read the works of the great classical thinkers you can see their views in action 3000 years later. In the end would you ever give up your intelligence and knowledge for piece of mind? Or would you use it to explore and understand this insane universe that we are in?|::::|If you have that mindset then you will feel like your nothing. If you decide to change that by leaving the little box set that you re in then you ll feel like you have a purpose. Now i m not a bible-reader myself but i am spiritually open and that in itself makes me feel like i have a purpose. Oh and you better not think of ******* killing youself. That ll just prove them right. Think about it buddy. There s more to it than feeling like you re a nihilist. When you find the door, open it,and once you re in you won t want to go back.|::::|I feel exactly the same way, and I can t figure it out either. I kind of feel like we (humanity) has gone too far you know? It s so materialistic and we worry so much about things that simply don t matter. This may sound a little crazy, but I seriously just want to live in a Native American tribe in something like the tenth century style or something. That would be really living and really making your own way. Not all this city, office and material possessions crap we have going on right now. But to keep me from thinking about how meaningless it all is, I try to think like this: Our souls are reincarnated a number of times, and each life has a lesson you must learn... and each life presents the same challenge; to be the best human and the best soul you can really be- be selfless, be loving to all, and make the biggest positive difference you can. And I think it s like, at the end of each life, you either move up a level or stay on the same one, or move down one depending on how well you ve done in that life and if you learned your lesson. And if all goes well, each life gets better and better until you ve finished all the levels and won the game.... Yeah.. hmm I do sound a lot crazier in this comment than I actually am, but I want to tell you what I think, so it s going to stay!

pls tell me what i have 2 do earn money from google adsense amp; also how i can earn money online|::::|Adsense is a way to monetize and earn money from your site by putting Google ads from their advertising network Adwords. It has been around since June 2003 and Adsense has allowed many website owners to earn from their sites. I highly recommend going through the Adsense Quick Tour to learn more about the program http://www.google.com/services/adsense_t... You apply and once you get approved, you can put in the Adsense code in your site. Here are the instructions on how to add Adsense codes on your site https://www.google.com/adsense/support/b... You earn through various ways: 1. Pay per click - this is the common way to earn which is you earn every time a visitor clicks on your ads 2. Pay per impression - an advertiser can specifically target your site and show ads where you earn via cost per 1,000 impression (e.g. you earn every time someone sees your ad, Some sites do very well with Adsense (even in the millions of dollars a year) while many more sites do extremely poorly with the program (can t even earn $10 a month). One of the misconception people have about Adsense is they simply slap it in their websites and it will automatically earn them big money -- which is not true as evidenced by the many disgruntled webmasters Your income will depend on: - the topic of your site (if you have high paying keywords you stand to earn more) - responsiveness of users to ad (are visitors coming to your site with blinders in their eye or do they look at the ads as additional complementary resource) - traffic (you earn more with more traffic, even if you have low paying keywords or other metrics) - how you implement the ads on your site (some positions and colors work better than others)|::::|just download this file and follow the instruction in doc format. this is nice way to earn online money.it takes time hence u should have patience.over the time you will like it. http://www.filefactory.com/file/79b3ad/n...|::::|hey dude its so simple ......register ur blog or website with google adsense...login with an existing google account....and it is must for ur domain to be atleast one month old with a minimum traffic of 1000 visitors|::::|(1) Create content that very large numbers of people will want to see (2) Publish it (3) Put adverts on it (4) Market it

You are now in the business of quot;Gift Wrapping, quot; and you ll will be deluged with business since the majority of major department stores, especially quot;discountquot; stores no longer offer quot;freequot; giftwrapping services and in may cases, they have eliminated the giftwrapping department altogether. It has happened at Macy s in downtown L.A. -- they to do provide giftwapping whatsoever, free or paid. Here s a gift wrapping tutorial: http://dandeedesigns.blogspot.com/2007/1... Good luck!|::::|From my limited business experience, washing cars can be pretty lucrative during warmer months. There is low overhead, meaning all you have to do is buy soap, sponges and have access to water. So you might spend $20, but be able to wash 100 cars at five dollars a piece. That s 500 bucks. Just come up with some cool sign like quot;I want to go to Walt Disney World this summer. $5 for a car wash. Thank you !quot;|::::|Have you thought about tutoring. (I m not sure where you live) but lawncare, miscellaneous things for your neighbors. These small things will help you earn some money?|::::|Give up. Or maybe try to go to a newspaper place where they can give you brochures to give out to people|::::|Tell anybody you ll wash there car.|::::|Shovel snow for $5-$10-$20.

What is my brotheramp;#39;s and Mumamp;#39;s problem? -

He has 2 jobs, and his wife has 1, they earn more money than my Dad does, yet my brother is always ringing me or him asking to borrow money. He uses my nephews as an excuse to try and get money, saying that they need nappies or they are hungry. It s ridiculous, after he asked me once, I went over his house with my Dad, when he went to look for the kids ( he leaves them to their own devices when they are 2 and 4) I looked in their cupboards, and lo and behold they had loads of food, and there were nappies in the bottom cupboards. My brother has a drug problem, even though he swears he doesn t, and when we used to fall for his rubbish, he would spend the money by sticking it up his nose. If I don t lend him money he says he s depressed, or I m spoilt, or makes up a little story about how my Dad used to beat him, which is total rubbish. Also, he falls asleep on the sofa after smoking too much weed and lets his kids run about the house doing what ever they want to, when I ve found him in this state, the littlest boy is crying in another room with a full nappy and the eldest is trashing everything. The eldest one has said that he quot;doesn t like his daddyquot;, and I know my brother has anger problems, and sometimes slaps the eldest boy too hard or shous far too much, he s even hit his wife. My Mum is just as bad, she always asks me to lend her money, which I never do, for her or my brother, as know I probably won t see it again. If I say anything negative about my brother, she goes mental at me, it s like he can do no wrong, even though he lets his own toddlers do whatever the hell they want! Also, my parents are divorced, and my Dad says my Mum has a drug problem too, I know her ex boyfriend did, but I don t know if she does. What should I do? I m so confused about all of this.|::::|Your brother and mum will not go to rehab unless they are good and ready to get clean. You are already doing what you should do. You don t give them money, so you don t feed into their habits. That s wonderful! Good for you for not enabling them to continue in their destructive behaviours! Go to a therapist so you can get encouragement to continue in your efforts. It can get very tiring and it makes you feel bad about yourself when they get angry at you and lash out. If you can vent to a therapist and get feedback, that will help a lot. Don t vent to your mum about your brother anymore, and vice versa. I would just distance myself a bit from them both. It s good to have healthy boundaries. Pray for your brother and his family. Distance yourself if you have to, but try to remain a positive influence in your nephews lives. Things will not change in that household until your brother is ready to get clean. You can t make that happen, nor can anyone else but your brother. Good luck and pray hard!!|::::|Bring your brother to rehab And bring your mom into rehab too|::::|I would have serious concerns about his capacity as a parent. Maybe the best thing is to inform the child services people. I know, I know, you don t want to rat him out but consider it an intervention. It can be done anonymously. Another option is to speak with a professional counsellor, anonymously. The wellbeing of the children is of importance here and keep your money in your pocket!|::::|i would suggest u dont lend them either money and its as simple as that just let them both know they are grown and they can support their own habits its not ur responsibility to take care of them or ur brother s children..as far as the children go has ur dad considered looking into taking them away from ur brother doesnt sound like he can take care of himself let alone toddlers
