Does The Xbox 360amp;#39;s Graphic Card Cost More Than The Console Itself?!? -
Hello guys. I was just wondering, the Xbox 360 can play games at a high resolution with stunning graphics and a good processor for altogether 150 dollars, so how is that possible?! I know for a fact that Microsoft can purchase components for lower price; but still, even if they can get them for half the price, the graphic card should already take away all of the money, let alone the good processor, ram, input, etc. So can someone please explain to me what the case is? And some people have mentioned the Xbox 360 costing more to make, but how is that possible?! A game console wouldn t be made with loss, would it? Then how could they earn money by it?! Anyways, thanks in advance! Cheers. Tom.|::::|it s simple, Mircosoft makes EVERYTHING for the xbox, all the parts so they dont have to pay anyone for the components to put it together. i used to know the specs for the processor and everything but i know you can find it online somewhere.|::::|I do believe that at the beginning they were selling them at a bit of a loss, but no worries - they rip you off for the games anyway ;) Mind you, with new techniques coming in and all that, the 360 s chipset is basically outdated, so also easier to produce!|::::|It may not still be true, but when it was originally released the 360 cost more than the selling price. The recoup their losses through software sales, which cost far less to produce than the selling price.|::::|If it s just the part itself then it shouldn t cost more than the console. Answer mine please? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
