Thequestion is: Honours degree or not? -

So, someone in family is studying for a degree and they have an option to take an extra year in order to get an honours degree. However I think they just want to start work and earning money- except I m not sure that s a good idea. Here in the UK, I was under the impression that most degrees are honours, i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. And most employers usually wannt to know what you got, i.e. a 1st class honours? The person in question is studying in another country with hopes to possibly move to the UK or the US at some point. Even if they don t move, I think other students from her university are likely to take the extra year and qualify with an honours degree. Do you think they would be at a disadvantage? And is an honours degree generally better than an ordinary one?|::::|An honours degree often entails doing a dissertation which is choisen, designed and carried out by yourself. On the employers point of view it shows that you are willing to take on tasks and see then through and work constructively. I was wondering if my Pell Grant money will be taken from me. I made a B in 2 classes, at least a C in the other, I don t know for sure yet, and my other instructor reported me a stopped attending, which I did because I didn t understand the class. I have read a lot of things that just don t go together on my schools website. This is what I found and this is why I need some help!!! What should my future job be? -

I like computers, but I don t want to be a computer technician or anything, just working with Microsoft Word and Powerpoint and such is good enough for me. I also like history, I m very interested in the Medieval and Renaissance period. I wouldn t like working in a shut office, but I d be okay with working indoors. I hate writing though. I love everything to do with languages and I m planning on maybe earning money as a translator in college or something. (Is there a career in translation?) Is it safe to trust banks with our money in this economy? -

I don t have a lot of money or anything, I live paycheck to paycheck. I do have a small amount of money from a very small inheritance which I have in cash. I was going to put it in the bank but didn t feel comfortable about that given the economy. Even though each depositer is insured by the FDIC for $100K, is that really safe if something happens and we hit a depression or something? I d rather have the cash in my hands than in a bank. On the other hand, if everyone pulls their money out of the banks, the banking system will fail, right? I keep only enough to pay bills with in my checking account, the rest is here with me. Am I paranoid? So my brother works in Virginia Beach and he has been with a company for 25 years. He has a bachelor s in business He is friends with the boss and he has an extremely large network of people though business. His blackberry has over 2000 numbers ranging from his representatives to CEO s and owners. He is as high up in the company as he can go. He has been part of the reason why his company is one of the largest privately owned business on the east coast. He is the guy right below the owner, so nobody can be higher then him. Here s the problem: He is only making about $100,000 a year. Here s the question: Would it be reasonable for him to switch jobs, possibly to an executive position at another job within his networks where he could earn more money?|::::|Depends how difficult it is to get a job paying more than $100,000 a year. I d say that with 25 years in his present company, he s got a decent salary and probably relatively good security. If he moves, he might have more money but no guarantees that work would be better, more secure or that he d be happier.|::::|I guess it depends on how important making more money is to him. If he s stayed there for 25 years already then he must loveee what he does. If he was interested in switching jobs he would ve done it already considering the experience, background, knowledge, and people he knows. Trying To Work Out How Much Spending Money Iamp;#39;ll Need... (Details Inside)... Please Help!? -

In December of 2009 or January of 2010, I m planning on moving to England or America for around 13 months to work as an au pair/nanny. I m doing it with a program, and with all included... which is flights, accommodation and food with the family as I ll be a live in, a five day introductory course with other au pairs/nannies etc etc. The total cost is about $1800 (Australian dollars). While over there, as I ll be working I ll earn in England between 100 and 200 a week (English money) and in America it ll be between 180 and 280 (American dollars)... which I know isn t a lot, but it s something. I ll get paid vacation, so I ll need money for that, and I get a month at the end of the 12 months to travel too. Along with just spending money for every day things like going out, buying gifts etc. How much money should I take, keeping in mind that the currency between Australia and England/America will change. And also, I ll be 18 when I go. :)|::::|My suggestion is that you should not necessarily bring a large amount of cash with you, but rather get a bank account with a bank in Australia that is part of the Global ATM Alliance...I believe it is Westpac. I never used to use them but once I discovered I could actually write about something I was very interested in AND make money doing it, I ve moved over to the blogging world. Get a job at a dog kennel at the age of 15. Like where dogs go when there owners are on vacation or sumthing. I like hunter so i hunt for my money. Others like to kill things so they go to abyss or dragons usually for lower levels. And theirs the people that like to do quests. They make their money off quests. So you just have to find what you like. 82 strength is good for your level maybe you should think about steel dragon or such. because they offer really good drops in some cases even super rare drops.

Take advantage of living at home as long as you can. Once you re out on your own it s a lot harder. Training loans are one way to go, but I actually did it on my own by living in my beat up old van for a couple years instead of paying rent. I also worked part-time restaurant jobs that offered free meals, and other part-time at jobs that paid more money than the restaurants. I paid for the private license and part of the commercial-instrument certificates doing that before I got smart and got a loan for my own plane instead of paying high rental prices. All it took was a bit of steady work history and good credit. The payments on a plane were actually less than the payments would have been on a loan for flight training. My own plane allowed me to build flight time when and where I wanted (including some coast-to-coast trips) at my own convenience, plus I built considerably more flight time than I would have received through a traditional flight course. I actually recovered a lot of my costs when I sold the plane. It s something worth considering. By the way, $25,000 isn t going to get you very far unless you do 95% of your flight training in a 2 seat airplane such as a Cessna 152. If you plan on getting multi-engine and flight instructor ratings, it s going to cost you a lot more. You have to understand that there isn t enough money in circulation now. The Fed is increasing the money supply. If they don t do that, the economy collapses. Think of it this way: We re in a car crash as it happens and there s no way we can avoid crashing. But we can slam on the brakes and slow our impact to minimize the effects of the crash. How do i tell my wife I am no longer interested in her? -

I been married for about 8 months, and I am exhausted. I can t get away from here, I have to deal with her at home and EVEN at work since I am the shift manager at where we work. I get very little chance to talk to other people and even at lunch time when I have some time to sit down with some of the other women, she joins us without even asking if its alright. This time she really crossed the line, I was going to go to a bar with my friend and her sister, and she assumed she was invited and just came along, all three of us were completely pissed off. I never get a one on one time with her sister or anyone else. I want to get out of this marriage because she is selfish and inconsiderate, and to top it off, the house always needs cleaning and the food is always late as well. She is just wasting my life and I can t take this anymore, she doesn t understand the pain and stress she puts me through. I am ready to sit down with her and let her know, and I want to do it soon, not only because f Christmas but because its her birthday too, and the last thing i want to do is wast my hard earned money on someone like her.
