Why is everyone so mad at the Yankees for spending THEIR money? -

Last time I checked, it won them 26 World Championships. It s the franchise s money that THEY earned, and if they have enough to pay big money for big names, what s so wrong about that? If the Yankees had all this money and were just sitting on it,people would be mad about that too. The farm system works for some, and the free agent market works for others. It doesn t make any sense to me why people dislike the Yankees so much for going after what they want. quot;Greedquot;. Oh really? If any other team had the opportunity to sign these players they would. The Detroit Tigers have the second highest payroll in baseball of 2008. They have four World Series titles. Does anyone get on them about having so much money and not doing anything with it? At least the Yankees win with the money they play their players.|::::|They hoard players and make them suck.|::::|people are Always going to hate the yankees, if they stop spending money, they are too cheap to invest in they re club!!! but if they get the best players its not fair for the rest of the teams.....people are just mad that they re team suxss (red suxx!!) People who complain about Yankee payroll are against capitalism and free market.|::::|the point is not HOW they use it, but the fact that they shouldnt HAVE that much money. its an unfair advantage to other teams, like the rays and marlins, who cant buy those big names whenever they want, and actually have to work to bring up their prospects and stuff and work with wat theyve got. like, while the yanekes were jjust buying their way to the playoffs, the rays were buising actuaslly working on bringing up their young guys, and, becuz of that, they were better than the yankees cuz they had mroe raw talent, not just every big name in the majors who went to the yankees offered them more money to them alone that some teams entire salary cap.|::::|it doesn t bother me when the Yankees throw around their money and sign a player to a huge deal. But three huge deals in one offseason is a bit much. In other sports, there are rules in place (including a salary cap), that forces the league to be competitive and fair. the money that the yankees make in the largest market in the U.S. should not be allowed to use as an unfair advantage against other teams. even yankee fans can agree that this is getting a bit ridiculous. it s stuff like this that is quickly making the NFL the most popular sport in america.|::::|Well it is not the point of the money they have it is the point that Baseball allows them to do some out of hand stuff.Like #1 Buy all the best talent #2 push player pay so high that no other team will even try #3 overpay for players that are not worth it (see Palvano if you don t believe me) #4 take other teams hard work and make it seem like it is the Yankees that make the players great.
