How can they give inaccurate weather forecast in Seattle, WA? -

I didnt go to work today because the news said it is snowing hard. it didnt snow till 4PM here and i could ve gone to work and earned my money. this is annoying, how can they possibly get the weather forecast wrong? can i sue the meteorologists? if this was a weather prediction for the next couple days i understand they cant be 100% right but to give a forecast for the next 2 hours, how can they get it wrong?|::::|Weather forcasting in the Seattle area is said to be the most difficult of any place in the US. There are way too many natural influences on the weather: the Pacific Ocean, the Olympics and Cascades, wind currents, etc. I share your frustration about not going to work when you could have. It s a bit of a crap-shoot around here. I m missing a medical appointment that was originally scheduled for yesterday but was changed to today. There is 7 inches of snow on the roads where I am (north of Seattle) and the highway between me and the medical appointment is closed both directions!|::::|Um, no. And lighten up. Weather is never 100% predictable - especially here with two different mountain ranges that make a huge impact on the weather. And nobody told you you HAD to stay home - it wasn t mandatory like a hurricane evacuation. They never said it IS snowing hard they said that snow was FORECASTED. And it did fall in many areas. Up here in Everett we got about 5quot; of snow but it also didn t start here till about 3PM. Since you didn t see it snowing all afternoon why didn t you just go into work?|::::|Um, because weather is unpredictable. The weather has a lot of factors. You have to remember, weather in Seattle deals with the ocean, lakes, mountain, cold air from the north, warm from the south, etc. That is a lot of factors. it only takes one to change a little and the forcast changes. It is much easer to predict weather when you don t deal with all these factors.|::::|You seattle peeps need to stop being cry babies....Walla Walla has gotten about 18 inches of snow over the past week..and it s still coming down hard!
