War photography assignment, help needed please :)? -

For an research assignment we have to investigate into a specialist field of location photography. I have chosen war, as many of the images I find are interesting and show the truth behind what is really happening. For this I have several questions to answer, I was wondering if it would be possible for anyone to help me. I was wondering whether you d be able to help me answer a few questions on what to consider whilst taking photographs in this environment, as i feel you portray the current war in a fascinating and captivating way. - How do you earn money? - The lighting? natural, reflected, flash (diffused/bounced/etc)? How do they cope with low light. - Transport available? - The essential equipment needed? - What camera would be suitable to shoot on? - Any filters? - How do you protect your camera, memory cards/film from weapons/people/weather? - The risks involved? - How to deal with copyrighting? I d appreciate it if anyone could help.|::::|they make money buy selling the pictures to the news agencys. Or they work full time for them. They have to use natural light. Before they mailed the film to htey agency. Now they just send them though the internet. after down loading them. They now use SLR cameras. Before they use 35mm in veinam. and in WW2 they used reflex cameras. a filter may be use to counter the lights. like UV filters or blue filter to counte rthe sun. you should always use a UV lens on the lens or a clear one to protect the lens from damage. You could use a plastic around the camera to protect it from the weather. But you have to know how to keep it clean . you have to know how to clean your camera and do it alot. that is your livelyhood. Like war the risk is your life. Many photographer have die doing there jab taking pictures or war. On the copy right. The agancy you work for or with you have to trust. they will be the one to protect you on the copy right. You need to sign a contract with them to preotect your rights. So you get credit for the pictures. I hope I helped you. You should look a coopalas picture of WW2. Or Brady for the civil war. I may have miss spelled brady. They are 2 of the best of all times.|::::|read Michael Herrers quot;Mentioned in despatchesquot; (about Tim Page) Watch apocalypse now, Dennis hopper portrays a war photographer, (also Tim Page) how do you earn money? you put your *** on the line and sell your images to photo agencies, such as magnum, one copes with low light, by using fsater film! warzones are full of hummers/landrovers and helicopters... but this isnt vietnam, you ask, and get permission. essential equipment. laptop, DSLR and a mobile phone... and balls. suitable camera, DSLR...
