So republicans think UAW members make too much money but what about CEOamp;#39;s? -
But why don t they care about the compensation of the CEO s of major company s, now I admit the big 3 CEO s said they would only take a buck for salary after the bridge loan but prior to that the were making big bucks, Now I went very generously in calculating the CEO s average hourly compensation by making theirs an 80 work week when in reality it s More like a 60-65 hour week I also didn t take out any vacation or other time off I basically took their entire compensation package divided it by 52 weeks and that number by an 80 work week and look at what the guys with the MBA s earn and then tell me again why line workers are over paid Ford s CEO makes $5200.00 per hour with all compensation included and figuring a 80 hour work week General Motors CEO Makes $3465.00 per hour with all compensation included and figuring a 80 hour work week Walmart s CEO makes $5528.00 per hour with all compensation included and figuring a 80 hour work week AIG s CEO makes $3365.00 per hour with all compensation included and figuring a 80 hour work week|::::|Republicans have been trying to break the Unions for over a hundred years. They do not believe that any worker should have any say. Safety, training, health care and pensions are all Union inventions. Has it hurt industry? No! Has it made the middle class? Yes. Does the Republican Party represent the middle class? NO! See how easy it is?|::::|UAW workers don t make very much money. The problem is that the overall cost of each UAW worker is enormous. It includes all the costs that the actual worker never sees in cash, such as benefits, retirement pay, the jobs bank, and employment-related legal costs.|::::|Some of you just follow. As a leader I must contend that this is not about UAW salaries. It s about 3 failing companies changing or coming up with a NEW BUSINESS Plan so they can about for a bail out oh er ah I mean a loan from the American people. We give our tax dollars and then buy back our tax dollars? SMDH|::::|Private companies should remain private. Then it would not matter, because if they over pay, they simply go out of business and are replaced by a smarter company. The problem is when ghovernment tries to participate in what they shouldn t - private business.|::::|Republicans are only worried about CEOs that after years of mismanagement are now coming to the government looking for a handout at the taxpayers expense. Sorry, no golden parachutes for bad investments and mismanagement.|::::|I don t care what anyone makes as long as they don t get any of my tax dollars. I don t make nearly as much as a CEO or UAW member so I shouldn t have any of my tax money going to either of them.|::::|They think that if the CEOs get rid of the UAW they deserve those extravagant salaries and benefit packages.|::::|If you ask them they would tell you that they are a bargain, that they easily work 1000 times as hard as the workers.|::::|CEO s are overcompensated as well as UAW members.|::::|I think everyone should take a big hit to help the economy. But lets not pick on the rich too much, remember, no one poor has ever been able to offer someone a job.|::::|You have a distinct point. Also, it was the CEO s who broke the companies in the first place.|::::|Oh, they don t care about CEO s. It s only guys make $55 an hour who bum them out.|::::|I think they all make way too much.|::::|I think they all need a pay cut.|::::|Ever notice how the liberals all complain about CEOs making too much money but they never criticize their buddies in Hollywood who make even more money for less work and talent?|::::|I think we need a CEO Job Bank, how can anyone be supportive of any union when they will work for the Japanese for a fraction of american companies, and have a Job Bank, for those who don t know what a job bank is, it is a list of Jobs that are not needed at the present time, but maybe need in the future so the Job Bank continues to pay full time pay and benefits to the members on the list, Only a Bloated UAW hack could come up with that one. PS I am CEO of a company, and work much harder than I ask any of my employees to do.|::::|Why do you think any and all republicans are not supportive of the workers or the union members? I m in a union. My parents were in unions, and by the way, worked their asses off. I would rather see someone who works for their money, like these auto line men and women, get help - as apposed to some rich fat cat who cant run a company get billions for doing nothing. Screw the CEO s, but, unfortunately, lending the money is the only way to help the workers and their families. The money they are looking for is a loan, not a bailout (or a handout) as they gave to the banks. With any loan, there are conditions of acceptance.|::::|it is an insult to all American workers that Republicans demand that the quot;workersquot; make concessions, but not the CEO s.|::::|Repuke seneators MAKE TO MUCH MONEY and thier corrupt wall street pals fact
