Why arent more people lamenting about corporate welfare? -

Why is it whenever the government bails out big corporations like The Big 3 and Fannie Mae it s considered good business, but when the government spends money helping out single moms living on welfare it s considered socialism and people everywhere start criticizing that. Did you know for every 1 penny they spend on social welfare, the government spends $100 on corporate subsidies? Why aren t enough people lamenting about that? Did you know that when the tax payers spend hundreds of millions of dollars to build a brand new stadium for a professional sports team, the owner gets a 10 percent profit? How come taxpayers aren t up in arms about people like George Steinbrenner taking millions of their hard-earned money into his own pocket?|::::|hurra for putting down the big man!! hey check out Savage Inequalities by Jonathon Kozol... its about the education system in america and how their is a huge gap between the education in the ghetto and that in the suburbs. Kozol provides a lot of anecdotal and statistical research on these schools and really shows how America doesn t care about these kids in low income areas|::::|Their are very few Republicans that supported the bailout, government buying into business equates to government holding the capital which is communistic in nature. Which is taboo to Republicans. You should criticize the people who did support it, the democrats in congress.The House Republicans (and a few democrats) were against the bill but it was overturned by the senate. Overall, the Republicans are up in arms, as government should have little power over business. Especially considering the damage government has committed with the redefining of the community reinvestment act. Our economic woes were actually predicted over eight years ago as well.|::::|I have noticed, that the American populace UNFORTUNATELY Greatly consists of f a mass, as would be a great bi oil that is allowed to grow to maximum size..and it is not lanced, no matter how uncomfortable, what hindrance it becomes, until SURPRISINGLY it bursts and causes a great big mess! The American populace for most has grown fat, numb, with apathy. As individual separatists and such as have given their power while asleep in imaginary poppies and the laurels of their founding fathers, are indolent, misinformed, uninformed, lazy, satisfied only if they, (individually) are quot;comfortablequot; - and because they so believe in the pursuit of the mythical American dream, they continue to dream on, even when the brightest possible beacon is set in front of their eyes like an unrelenting beacon, of : quot;WAKE THE H*LL UP!quot; Their are not even un-numb enough to stir against what instincts may quicken in them, against their stupour which is an announcement to DANGER! Consequently, it is only when The WHOLE thing, as that boil afore mentioned burst, and there s the internal mess cast outwards with a force, EVERYWHERE, that they do not say...quot;HUH???quot;
