How do i sell items on viva pinata pocket paradise? i cant see the sell icon? -

Hey, i just bought the game and after getting some whirlms, these wormy things, i wanted to attract another pinata that wanted a turnip. but i have no money! i have no idea how to earn some, yes i did the tutorials and they showed me i could sell things. nothing i click on gives me the sell icon, do i have to sell my new baby whirlm?|::::|what cha mean??
