Help me should i quit? -

have been working as a cashier for a florist for 4 days. but on the fourth day i lose $14 and i have to pay it back now. being a cashier is really stressful as i am accountable for all the money earned and lost. i have also been having nightmares of losing huge amounts of money. should i quit the job or go to work tommorow?|::::|It s not that bad, I don t think you should quit. I was a cashier for three years and I never lost money. You just need to be careful when you are handing out money to people. Also, make sure the person counting the drawer is being accurate and honest. If you are counting it, recount it to make sure everything was counted correctly.|::::|$14 isn t much. At least since it comes out of your own pocket you dont have to feel as guilty about it. Just focus on what you are doing when handling change. When I first started in retail I stuffed the money up regularly, after a while I learned my lesson and focused more on the money part. It also helps if you learn to count change back to people. you know like if they give you a twenty and it costs say 13.50, you give them back 50 cents first, and you say quot;and that makes 14quot;, then you give them 1 dollar, and you say quot;and that makes 15quot;, and then you give them a 5 dollar note and you say quot;and that makes 20quot;. So Im counting it with Australian money, I dont know if you have the same notes and coins or whatever. But its the same thing no matter where you are. If you count it back like that, it is almost impossible to stuff up the change. And it is much better than just saying quot;and here s 6.50 changequot;.|::::|Tell yourself that you are a student to learn here and Tell yourelf hope you will not make mistake again.
