Penalty for Under the influence of Marijuana in school? -
i currently live in California and about the age of 17, I have this class in school called ROP, and Im currently taking a course called Retail Sales( its like you work in stores to earn high school credits instead of earning money). One day, i decided to go smoke a little bit of weed on my lunch break, about 2 hits with a bong, and my next class is Retail Sales. So i went to my class, and i have to work in a store in the mall. While i was working i started to feel a little drowsy and lazy. So i asked the manager if i could get a drink around the mall. The manager got mad at me because i barely came and he think that i was lying. I thought that i could trust him so i told him that i was faded(under the influence of marijuana), and he stood quiet for a while and then told me to go get my water and dont come back. So i got my water and i came back to apologize, and he let me work again but didnt sign my papers legally saying that i worked. So the next day i came back to the class, without blazing it(smoking), and i work in the same store again, it was a pretty normal day, he didnt even ask or talked to me while i was working. And in the end of my shift, he told me that dont come back here again, and said make this my last week. The only thing im scared of is that my manager might tell my counselor that i was faded. But i wouldnt think he will because i was pretty cool with him and basically i work hard. And also if he did tell my counselor, it wouldnt be a problem because im also cool with my counselor and the principal in my school. My question is if the manager told my counselor that i was under the influence of marijuana what will be my penalty?|::::|Lancer you sem like a pretty cool guy. I think that you Hey at least you were honest. I have had my share of that fun too. And it was definatley worth it. There were some conscenquences though. I am now almost 25 years old and would love to live that kind of lifestyle in California. I currently live in Texas and am still debating weather I should get a decent paying job over there and start partying. Look the best thing you can do is just be the best person you can be. Make friends and keep them. Friends and having them can get you more job opportunities in the future or even now. You sound like a winner to me because your an honest guy. Too many managers these days especially head managers in some businesses not all but some are just plain full of !@#% and not very realistic. Everything will work out.|::::|Hopefully it would be a suspension. You speak about drug use in school so casually it is frightening. No wonder California schools and the quality of pupils coming out of them are the worst in the nation. Grow up.
