Why we should take astrology seriously? -

i believe that astrology is a fraud......and it has been created in order some people to earn money- nothing else!! do you agree?|::::|Astrology means nothing. Trouble is, some people start believing in it when a prediction proves to be true. In reality, if you say enough things about people, some of it is bound to be true. Law of averages. And when it happens, people fall for it, saying how accurate the prediction was. They tend to forget all the rest of the stuff (majority) that never came true at all.|::::|Why go in the horoscope section and post a question like that? People have a right to have different beliefs that is what makes this world so unique and great. I think that the horoscope columns in the newspaper are a joke. Anyone could write that mess. However, astrology isn t the same as a horoscope in the newspaper. It is much more complex and deeper than that. Therefore, if I were you, and I m not. I would try to have a little bit more of an open mind about things. Especially when you are asking a question in this section. Just an opinion.|::::|Things that are made up can never be solved. It s ancient, unproved, and bigoted. Modern astrologers have access to statistics to prove their claims. But they ignore them because they show that the claims are false. It does not matter if astrologers, scientists, or anyone can t produce evidence that supports astrology. Astrology is a belief (like a religious substitute) and you can not test a belief. What can be tested are astrology s claims. These have, often enough and the claims fail to do better than chance. Ask yourself where does astrology clearly succeed to better than other simpler and more likely alternatives. Or better than random chance. I ll bet that none can be found. If i knew nothing about astrology besides newspaper horoscopes and sun signs, i wouldn t put much weight into it either ( although, having a heavy scorpio influence, i do rather relate well to some very well written sun sign descriptions, such as those by linda goodman and liz greene ) .. it is very complicated, and i suppose what would make one most skeptical about it is the fact that it s validity can t be quot;provenquot; by exact means in scientific terms.. but such is the nature of metaphysics.. I personally don t put much weight into the fact that most people think it s a bunch of baloney, because it s a jewel to me, and if they can t experience it and accept it for what it really is, which is possibly, a healing tool, a tool to help us understand our psyche better.. it s their loss. Although, for the curious, i m always inclined to help.|::::|You know astrology is more than reading a paragraph in the newspaper telling you how your day went. It s not all a fraud. Oh, and astrology was not invented . It was founded by the sumerian people, who wrote in tablets that it was passed down from the gods. so no, it wasn t made to make money. do your research before you make an uneducated comment.|::::|Astrology has it s roots just as certain religions do. Everyone has their own beliefs and something they all enjoy exploring. Why tell someone, something isn t true because you don t believe in it? Astrology has many meaning, it s far more then just what you read in the mags. I say criticize the real issuses the world is facing and have an opinion mind.|::::|then so too is psychology a fraud. You pay for that and it runs society ie supernanny, og whisperer etc etc. I have a degree in psych..most of those theories were based on rats and dogs I kid you not. Nothing in this worlsd is absolute. Psych, astrology, sociolgy, religion etc are all mere frameworks for understanding. as for money, in this day and age, you shouldnt pay for any of those things, this is the beauty of the internet though i admit yahoo answers facebook etc are barriers to the same. look further afield i reccomend fravia (google it) for all who read this reply.Its your world young people dont let yahoo google etc dictate it for you. astrology like tarot and even religion shouldnt come between u and ur higher power..if you let it its time to quit.|::::|Its not completely true that future can be predicted by astrology...but planets do have influence on us. What will happen to us is linked to how we do things that again is linked to our personality. Thats why many people think future can be predicted through astrology. What I like about astrology is that it tells right about human characters.|::::|There is evidence that shows that every religion is rooted in astrology. Before books, before words, before quot;fraudquot;, there were stars.
