What financial aid options are available to someone seeking a second Bacheloramp;#39;s Degree? -

I earned a Bachelor s of Elective Stusdies last summer, but am considering returning to college to persue a second degree. I can not seem to find any good information on financial aid except student loans. I am not making enough money at my present job to pay my bills, let alone more student loans. I have found my education thus far does not really apply to any field. I took primarily classes in Special Education and without a teaching license they are not helping me to find anything in my area.|::::|Earning two bachelors degrees is about as useful as earning two high school diplomas. Go back to school and earn your masters degree. It doesn t have to be in the same field of your bachelor s and will make you more marketable. You will be able to borrow and get federal Stafford loans to attend and you won t have to start paying them back (or any other loans you may have) until after you graduate or drop out.|::::|Consider the three options: I ve bookmarked this site... http://www.BestFinancialAid.info/ All the best to you.|::::|There aren t limits on the fact that it s a second degree. The limits are on how much you can borrow total at the undergraduate level and also there are annual limits. There are higher limits to how much you can borrow per year as a grad student...but here s the thing....you should NEVER HAVE TO PAY FOR GRAD SCHOOL. First you have to liberate yourself from this non-paying job. Two ideas: l. get a STATE CERTIFICATE IN ANY PAYING SKILL. You can get one in one to three months. Do not try to pick something you will love. Just pick something you can TOLERATE. Or 2. take one intro accounting class and one introduction to QUICKBOOKS class. Then you get on the phone and call 5000 businesses (get a list of owners of businesses having 1-9 employees from a list companies) From this you should come up with 16 customers than you can charge $150 a month= $2400 a month. Then you can do bookkeeping and accounting and depending on where you live you can charge $20-$45 an hour. Now here s the goal-now you start taking classes that can get you into GRADUATE SCHOOL. Forget the undergrad crap. You already did that. You are four classes away from having grad school paid for and that means paid for by a fellowship, NOT BY YOU. The key to this is to apply to only PHD granting institutions. If they don t give degrees past the master s forget that school You want the money, baby! Take four classes in the thing you want to do for grad school. These four classes should only be taken at a school that does grant PHD. You will only be taking undergrad classes, but trust me, ...this is how you do it. Get good grades and get a recommendation after EVERY CLASS and put them in a file. Get A s. Now you are ready to apply to grad school. You have gotten four As and four recommmendations. You call four schools and go meet with the chairperson of the department of interest. You tell them you are getting ready to apply to their school becuase you love the research in your favorite department....and NAME THE RESEARCHER. Now go to volunteer work once a week at a high-powered place and ask for a recommendation from here. This volunteer stint should be related to your future graduate school subject area. Get out the recommendation forms, fill them in, along with your applications and As on your transcripts. Send this in to BIG ENDOWMENT SCHOOLS. You have to look this up on the internet. Do a search....put in let s say your subject of interest....I dunno.....how about COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING......find out what schools come up and then punch in ENDOWMENT and see where the money is. These schools will pay your way. You can do this the whole rest of your life. You can get 10 graduate degrees and not pay for any of them. But you have to find out who s got the money....I speak from experience.....My 2.63 undergraduate gradepoint could not hold me back once I got the great references and you can do the same. Good Luck.
