What is Google AdSense? -
I mean. I know what it is. But it makes no sense to me how it works. How do you get paid THAT easy? I mean, by clicks on an ad on your page? It sounds really sketchy to me. I have a friend that uses it and earns tons of money, but still. Can someone explain to me the logic behind it all?|::::|It really isn t THAT easy. I mean, it s easy to sign up, and it s easy to place the ads, but unless you have an established website or venue where you have tons of people constantly clicking through to other pages/sites, then it s going to be pretty tough to get the revenue. There s really nothing sketchy about it though. It s very legitimate, and people do make money off of the service. Basically, you get paid only when someone clicks on the ads. They have a calculation called eCPM, here is the description: Effective CPM From a publisher s perspective, the effective cost-per-thousand impressions (eCPM) is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands. For example, if a publisher earned $180 from 45,000 impressions, the eCPM would equal $180/45, or $4.00. However, please keep in mind that eCPM is a reporting feature that does not represent the actual amount paid to a publisher.
