Meaning behind the video quot;Hey There Delilahquot;? -

When I first heard the song, I visualized it being a sweet guy in love with a sweet girl that s both aiming to have a good future together. But the video, the video is all done up in makeup..miniskirts that sorta thing, and they make a point of telling you so because it shows you putting on gloss, ect. So now my perceptive has changed, so the meaning is that the guy doesn t know what is happening since they are quot;thousand miles awayquot; and they both want a good future, but the girl tries to earn money in a bad way? While he tries to quot;pay the bills with his guitarquot;? I know the song is just about the guy thinking some girl in his life who s amazing, but you know sometimes the video is different. What do you think his meaning behind the video is? He s telling her not to worry, that someday they ll be together and he d be a music artist, quot;Someday I ll pay the bills with this guitar,we ll have it good.quot; I love that song. :) Tom Higgenson actually wrote it for a girl named Delilah, he d met her and told her he d write a song for her, she didn t believe it, but he did and it became a big hit.|::::|i dont know if this is right or not, but i remember hearing its about the guy, whoever the singer is, i forget his name, hes trying to get this girl or whatever and i think she does the olympics and is in new york and hes writing a love song to her. maybe it was his ex.. but once again, i forget where i got this from and it may or may not be accurate|::::|i think it s like the song. delilah is in NYC going to college and trying to make it big as an actor/model/singer and gets in with a bad crowd the guy is singing her a song saying it s gonna be okay and we will be rich one day|::::|Hey There Delilah, by Plain White Ts was written after Delilah , a runner was met by Higgenson, the song writter, who later, after the song became famous got a date with her. http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey_The...|::::|It s about a girl who he liked but she moved, and now he is going to come back to her lol just my opinion|::::|it resembles that there in love but its long distance and he wants to see her and hes talking about ther futurre:)
