What job do you do?? ? -

Just a little survey; if you are under 18, and have a job, what job do you do? The info I am after is what your job is eg. paper round and your age. I m looking for work and am just wondering what stuff there is out there to earn money.|::::|I had a summer job at 14 in the billing office of a doctor s office. The doctor is a family friend of mine and I got paid $10/hour, 4 hours per day, 3 days a week. Then a babysitting job, everyday for 7 hours, $7/hour, excluding Sundays. So I made a LOT of money over the summer, but spent it all =X. I would ask a parent to get in touch with a family friend and ask for you to be employed there. Or, you can go to your local super market and look for a job: Target, ShopRite, Michaels, Stop amp; Shop, Aamp;P, PetSmart, Walmart, ect. Some of those will probably start hiring at 15 or 16. I know my ShopRite hires at 15 or 16, I see many young kids working around there and it s a good experience because they all get to know each other and help each other out at the cash registers. Also try for a place like Carvel or Coldstone. Most Coldstones hire at 15. I ve called a Dairy Queen before, but they hire at 18. I believe Ricky s Candy Store hires at 17, but do not hire seasonal employees (they want loyal people for hire who will stick around allyear round). PacSun hires at 16 (they hire seasonally at peak sales like summer, back to school, holidays), so it seems like a pretty decent place to work, no? Fast foods restaurants like to hire when you re 16 as well. I believe Abercrombie Kids and Abercrombie amp; Fitch hire at 18. Hollister, perhaps 17 (according to my memory). Some kid-friendly jobs: Chuck E Cheese hires at 16, and if you re good with kids, this would definitely be a fun job for you. If you re familiar with Libby Lu, I believe they hire at 17 or 18 the last tiem I checked. Build-A-Bear hires at 18 or so. Claire s hires at 17. Limited Too hires employees at around 18 but you need previous 1-2 years experience with sales. Oh, and if there is a Six Flags near you, they hire at 15 for certain stations (they also hire seasonally, especially summer. If you re gonna go for a summer job, apply as the school year ends so spots don t run out!). The job involved sitting in a small, semi-subterranean cubbyhole and loading small clay targets onto a machine that would spit them out in front of me for guys to shoot at. I made an okay wage, but it was in making tips that I really cleaned up. I d go home at the end of the day with 40 or 50 bucks sometimes, which, when you are 14 years old, is a lot of money.
