What do you think about planned parenthood as a group? -
They opened one up by me and there s protesters like 24/7. At first I kind of sided with planned parenthood and didn t think the protesters should be there. I dont agree with abortion but it s legal and people can do what they want. I also realize its probably a hard enough decision for women to make without protesters hassling them. I have learned more about planned parenthood however and think they are lunatics. This Christmas they are giving out gift cards for free aboritions, how sick is that. It s clearly for shock value and to be over the top. I think they provide a legal service that some people want so fine but to be over the top just searching for controversy is a bit ridiculous. They also want taxpayers to pay for abortions. I also think this is ridiculous since many of the peoplle who go there have had multiple abortions, why should my hard earned money go to pay for some lady who doesn t know how to use a condom over and over again. Basically I think the extremes on both sides of this issue are ridiculous but I think planend parenthood is over the top, what do you think?|::::|Planned parenthood is a good company, they gave me BC for free when I was a minor and they gave condoms out to people who needed them. I think that is a great thing to help the youth so that they can practice safer sex. As for giving out gift cards for free abortions, the would never do something like that. You must have heard a rumor or something. And taxpayers do NOT pay for abortions, the patient has to pay for it up front. I don t really like abortion either, I would never get one, but I think that if someone wants to do that, that is their choice and I support that.|::::|you misunderstand; the gift certificates are for ALL of planned parenthood s health services. if some one buys a woman a $100 gift certificate, she can use it on pap smears, birth control, or if she really wants, an abortion. but there is no gift certificate specifically for an abortion. on the subject of your hard earned tax dollars, you re going to pay regardless. to be quite honest, paying for an abortion is much cheaper than supporting someone s child, if it s money you re worried about. your tax dollars pay for the schools and for the food stamps and for the TANF payments for the children from low income mothers who didn t quot;know how to use a condom over and over againquot;. only two thirds of planned parenthood s funding comes from the government; the rest is from PRIVATE DONORS. since only about three percent of its total services provided is abortions, it s very likely that none of YOUR tax dollars went towards an abortion at all.
