Hands On Approach or Uni? -
I have started Uni for the 1st year now, I like it and all that but I prefer hands on work and I know I do, I took the six form approach to go to uni and get a degree knowing fair well that I was getting sick of class room learning, but I made my self do it cause in the end jobs seem to be better if u have a degree under your belt. its not that I don’t like uni, its just I know I learn best when am doing not being lectured too, and doing a assignment every week. I like to learn by experience, working out side with my hands and all that, am just afraid am going to force my self to do uni, get a degree then turn out hating what am doing for the rest of my life. I always used to think if I had a degree under my belt, after I could go off and do what ever I like, and still have something to fall back on, but at the end of the day I would have a degree and debt and have wasted 4 years when I could of been earning money doing something hands on... am just not sure, I don’t know if its right to force my self to do it, or whether to quit and try and get a job, but what jobs are for A level students who have dropped out of uni? Really I want to start earning money now, and supporting my self, I just don’t know how to go about it because am stuck on this path. And at 19 I think my options are starting to run out for a good hands on job with a future, when am already at uni now. |::::|What degree are you doing now? Why not change to something like Archaeology that will give you hands on experience and encourage you to complete your degree?
