How do site owners earn? -

im really wondering...there are sites which let you upload files for free, and then if someone dowloads ur file, you will earn money (depending on the traffic made)..where did they get the money (if they let surfers upload for free)? if the advantage of having heavy traffic is earning big money, who give them money?urgh..i just dont get..can someone explain it to me?? for example, big sites like yahoo..how do they earn money??it s not just because of ads right?and also youtube..|::::|I own 2 web sites one is dvdssold.com and the other is designerhandbagonline.net I make money on these site 3 different ways one is through the ads placed by Google another way is Amazon they list the items and the banners and I receive a commission on those sales the the third way is through e-bay when you bid on items through my sites I receive sales from those as well. I do not do anything they upload my sites for me and I recieve the sales. There is a forth way I make money that is when I sell banners or spots on my sites I charge a flat fee of 50.00 per month or 450.00 per year for your ads to appear on my site. There are many way to make money on the sites. Google, yahoo msn and the other big search engines make money by having sponsors selling ad words per click payment also makes them money. If you type in any name and look under that ad you will find a blue box or white and black box those are the sponsors look to the right side of the listing they are the ones who pay for there listing to be placed there.|::::|just like the super bowl its the ADS the ads on the side pay big money. the bigger and more visited the site, the more money they pay to be on the front page. some sites get paid per visit by surfers from one site to another. IT IS BIG MONEY. Some sites like a consumer based site sometimes get paid to rate their product. there was a story back in 99 about a young kid who rated computers based apon how easy they were for him to take apart and put back together. companies like HP Gateway and Dell paid him to do it with their products because of the popularity of his site.. At this 14 yr olds peak he made 140K just by rating computer products on his site.|::::|Hi there.
