Why are doctors making less money now? -

Back in the day, doctors used to make much more money. Today, doctors earn at least 10% less than they did before. And the trend is expected to continue for the next 20 years. This is especially true with primary care and internal medicine physicians where doctors make much less than before. Not surprisingly, many of the brightest young med students opt out of primary care and internal medicine for more elective based fields such as dermatology and plastic surgery. But America needs the physical check up doctors more than plastic surgeons.|::::|Doctors used to be quot;the authorityquot; in health care for many decades. Now we have highly skilled nurses, PAs, nurse practitioners, etc that can do more than they have ever been allowed so they have taken over some of the roles that used to be performed only by physicians. Also, with skyrocketing malpractice insurance costs who wants to be a GP when you can specialize and make more money to cover those costs? By the way...dermatology is a high demand area. Many communities don t even have ready access to a dermatologist or have wait times of 6+ months!|::::|Companies and business are closing down and I am sure you had heard of that so far. Ecomeny is very bad right now that why doctors got less payment now. Lucky, hospitals in my opinion and from what I heard will be open all the time because people gets sick, need disagonis, and many things.|::::|Well when people dont have money, they can t afford to go the doctors.
