What to do when everyone is trying to bring me down? -
I constantly feel like sh*t nowadays. I m studying 4 subjects at A level, and I m heading for an A in one and a B in the other. The other two I m failing. Overall, I dont think I m doing too bad considering I suffer from depression and most of the time I have no motivation at all. My attendance is above 90% all the time. My parents constantly tell me I will end up working at a cash till the rest of my life, and that I should retake the year and do different subjects, and that I will never have a job I enjoy that earns money. And then my teachers tell my parents that my hearts not in any of my subjects and that I need to put more effort in to get the work finished. I cant put any more effort in without pushing myself into exhaustion. Basically I m sick of this. My parents make me feel like a failure and sometimes I just really think none of this is truly worth it. Help?|::::|There is not a person in the world that this did not happen to. Most people just brushed it off though. quot; You don t live up to your potentialquot; etc etc. it never ruined my day. Parents do that to everyone even if there kids are smart/average/stupid.|::::|Just ignore them because parents don t know what their kids truly go through now and days. Only if they knew........|::::|i have never failed a class, i think u need to put in more effort cuz average students dont get 2 F s|::::|ignore them...*?*|::::|Hi, I m so sorry that you are hurting. I would advise since it appears that your parents arent listeing I would advise you caling a teen hot line where you can remain anonymous and as well get the advice and professional comfort and advice that you need. I use to use those hotlines like crazy when I was your age and yes it helped me though. SOme of them are the Allentown Boys and Girls home and LIghthouse shelters. Trust me these counselors and volunteers deal with these type of issues daily 24-7 and will reallyhelp you get some peace in this.....I wish you the best of luck... Please just try thiese hot lines what have you got to lose and you can alos call using *67 from your ph and no one has to know who you are....I wish you nothing but peace...|::::|Go for the one/two thing that you really want to do for the rest of your life, even if you fail the first time, you will propbably catch things that people who pass the first time don t catch! You have to tell yourself that you can do it. If you have a dictionary in your room, cut out the word can t ... I m serious! Then the next time you don t think you can t do it, remember that can t is not in YOUR dictionary/vocabulary, and that you can do it. Hope this helps! =) You can email me if you d like... millerkrissi1@yahoo.com|::::|oh my god. it s like im reading a question i would of asked. I m currently studying many subjects at GCSE levels. Im currently getting A, B and mostly C grades. However, my parents are ALWAYS telling me i wont get in college so i better start looking for a job. My mom even said to me i am so thick they wouldn t even keep me in Mcdonalds :| Parents can be so pushy, trying to make you better when they dont understand how hard the work is at school these days. I totally relate to you, im currently getting this off my parents. Even though we re not thick! I wish they could go to school and suffer from coursework depression like i am at the moment. Just do something you enjoy after school. :] finish your work straight after school then have a bath, do ANYTHING you want. I personally like a go on runescape now and again Lmao. and im a 15 year old girl. or a go on the piano lightens my mood. Good luck hun xxx
